DESCRIPTION:Permaculture is a whole systems method of design \nthat of
 fers guidelines for ways we can create \nmore productive and sustainab
 le environments by \nconserving resources in all aspects of living. \n
 This is achieved through thoughtful integration \nbetween the land\, w
 ater\, plants\, people\, animals\, \nshelter\, technologies and commun
 ity.\nThe purpose of this workshop is to create a \ncomfortable\, supp
 ortive environment for women to \nlearn Permaculture philosophy\, prin
 ciples\, \nstrategies\, and sample techniques. Hands-on \nsessions inc

 obbs is a horticulturist\, \npermaculture designer\, and instructor. S
 ince \n1982\, Jude's landscape design business has \nprovided environm
 ental design solutions for urban \nand rural settings. She has written
  \nMulti-Functional Hedgerows and Permaculture in a \nvariety of publi
 cations.  Jude tends a forest \ngarden in Eugene\, Oregon.\nFee\: $165
 -$200 (sliding scale). This includes \ninstruction\, workshop material
 s\, and three \norganic vegetarian meals.     Early registration \nby 
 7/17\: 10% discount.    Final registration by \n7/31.\nAdditional cont
 ributions gratefully accepted for scholarships\nLocation\: An urban re
