Graduate Student Symposium, Center for Creative Change
A Legacy of Practice ~~ Reflective Practicum (RP) projects are a continuation of Antioch’s rich history of cooperative education through social engagement. Since its establishment in 1852, Antioch has challenged students to be active participants in their education and to become courageous leaders in their communities. Partners in Sustainable Change ~~ When an organization works with a graduate student from the Center for Creative Change (CCC), they gain a project partner, many of whom are working professionals with proven areas of expertise and records of success. Our highly motivated students are ready to put into practice the cutting-edge theories explored in the classroom. Together, CCC students and partnering organizations develop projects that provide immediate and sustainable practices for today’s organizations. Engaged Education ~~ The two-year-long Reflective Practicum 1 and 2 series is a rigorous course of study that comprises one-third of the total credits required for a master’s degree. The series blends theory with practice and supports students as they undertake sustainable change projects. As part of the RP series, students present their projects in a public symposium. These professional presentations engage the community and showcase project partners. Attendees include students, partner organizations and the general public.
