International Conference on Indigenous Vegetables and Legumes: Prospects for Fighting Poverty, Hunger and Malnutrition
To create a forum of experts in the field of indigenous vegetable (IVs) and legumes research and development (R&D) for exchange of ideas and knowledge, and thereby promote: ~ Inter-institutional collaboration on indigenous vegetable and legumes R&D initiatives to increase synergy among centers and their partners; ~ Assess R&D trends in the conservation and management of IV species; ~ Document scientific information available on R&D on IVs and legumes, and; ~ Develop strategies to promote the use of indigenous vegetables and legumes worldwide.
