Norway Explores Banning Cars in Climate Fight
A proposal from Norway's Finance Minister this weekend would halt all
sales of fossil fuel-powered vehicles by 2015 as a way of spurring the
development of clean car technologies.
Minister of Finance Kristin Halvorsen told Reuters this weekend that the plan, which was first announced
by the Socialist Left and Center party in 2007, is "much more realistic
than people think when they first hear about this proposal," she told
