City of Bainbridge Island and Solar Washington present “Invest in the Sun for your Home, Business & Community.” The rising price of energy is on everyone’s mind these days. We can all feel the effect, whether at the gas station or writing a check for the propane/heating oil tank fill up. Our local utility company, Puget Sound Energy, has recently requested a rate increase on residential power consumption due to rising wholesale energy prices. It is a fact that the days of cheap fossil fuel are coming to an end. But people still need homes and increasingly they will be asking for energy alternatives. One solution readily available is the most abundant energy source that exists – the sun.
