Sustainable Lifestyles conference

The program provides a model of interactive and experiential learning where attendees come for specific topics they are interested in. Participants will offer content during afternoons and evenings. The symposium will have an integral design to feed body, mind and spirit. Spiritual practices will be encouraged, arts, music and poetry interludes planned for, and internet technology will be in place to allow easy access to knowledge worldwide. Planned field trips include the local wind farm, a private biodiesel producer, Whole Village intentional community and biodynamic farm, and the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre. Participants will be provided with a workbook to track their learnings through a personal futuring exercise: making explicit their assumptions about the world they are facing, and preparing for it. The resource materials for this workbook come from www.personalfutures.net. The whole camp community will meet as a 'world future council' on the opening evening and several times during the week. See www.worldfuturecouncil.org.
